Variety testing for uniformity, distinctness and stability (DUS) was accomplished in Poland and in year 2002 listed to the Lithuanian National list of Plant varieties and 2006 into the European common catalogue of varieties of agricultural plant species.
Over a period of several years the Vyčiai variety average dry matter yield of 8.0 t/ha was obtained. The Vyčiai clover is relatively winter-hardy. It is assessed at 6.8 points for winter-hardiness and 6.7 points for resistance to lodging. The average height of the plants is 78 cm. Herbage yield mass of the dry matter is about 36% leaf. In the dry matter, proteins make up on average 16.0%, and fiber 24.5%. The average growing period of the plant (counting from 1 January until the first harvest) is 171 days.
